Do it For Yourself
Sometimes, I feel, we tend to find ourselves at a point in this short life, where we know we are too happy. Sometimes we really are, and sometimes we know we aren't. Nowadays with social standards and media, like any other human being we tend to get lost in this man made maze of perfect acting. It doesn't mean it's something I hate or am against, I just find it curious how we commonly mislead our minds and others who don´t know whats real and raw on the inside, and unveil something that isn't real.
It's a pattern, a trend. We have this idea where we have to seem perfect to everyone in order to be admired by only a few. I think about this a lot… how come in a span of approximately six years, do we manage to change by a full 360, the standards for beauty, intelligence, and behaviour. It's something we'll never understand or come to an agreement of. It's so controversial and profoundly accepted that there's no way my miserable opinion could change anything big; but if I can just make you, my reader, think a bit more into this, it gives me a reason to keep doing what I do.
Have you ever met a celebrity? Most will say no, but I, I have. They are just like me and you. They sit on their computers and they read shitty blogs and they eat donuts to kill their cravings. They too, watch Netflix for hours and feel lonely sometimes. I'm not trying to put anyone down to any level, on the contrary, i'm trying to push us all up so that we understand that we really are all just humans.
There's no need for you to go around telling everyone who you are and what you do, so that you feel important. That, comes from the inside, and if you are not well on the inside, believe me, please, you will not feel okay on the outside. This world wide ideal of acting of having a better life than others, i'll tell you now, is fake and affects people's brains and hearts. We all have our flaws and we all have our perks, so be yourself. Compare yourself to you. Try and be better than who you were before reading this.
Don't fake your life. Don't bring others down for pleasure. Love yourself as much as you think your public will love your fake life.
With all my love,
